It’s not hard to notice someone who has strong, muscular legs and six pack abs… and that’s exactly what you’ll get with Muay Thai training. From muscle endurance, force production, and agility to head-turning abs, thighs and calves, Muay Thai delivers. No other sport or physical activity comes close to delivering the cardiovascular conditioning that Muay Thai offers. Got stress? Think Muay Thai. Having a fun outlet where you focus on yourself and nothing else, detach from the daily grind, let go of all things negative, and release stress does wonders for your mental and physical health.

As a highly respected martial art, Muay Thai will give you a boost in your confidence and focus. If you’re looking to get in shape and build muscle, Muay Thai holds the key to achieving your goals. It’s one of the most demanding workouts you can do, but the rewards are plentiful – great cardio, core strength, stress relief, and more.

Muay Thai offers a fun outlet for the day-to-day frustrations that build up in our lives. Stress can be a huge contributing factor to many health issues, both mental and physical. Muay Thai counteracts stress by building a stronger immune system, creating more energy, and promoting better cardiovascular health. Many beginners also notice that their mood improves too. It’s a great way to meet people with similar interests. With everyone working together to improve themselves, the atmosphere is collaborative, positive, and fun.

If you’re looking to improve your physical fitness, you’ll be in shape in a matter of weeks because every workout involves your entire body. You will be trained to hit with a lot of power that comes from your core. That’s why Muay Thai is one of the best core stability workouts you can do. It tones everything from your arms, legs, abdominal muscles and back. Students say they get a huge boost in physical confidence and pride in their appearance. With dedication and hard work, you will have the physique of an athlete in no time at all.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you've got your own Muay Thai gear (gloves and hand wraps), feel free to bring your own. If not, wraps are available for purchase at the front desk and gloves are available for rental or purchase. We recommend bringing a water bottle and your own hand towel. Shorts and a t-shirt are our uniform of choice, but the best clothes are the ones you feel most comfy in.
While each student is unique and will progress at their own pace, it is possible to advance as quickly as 6 months with consistent training and perseverance. As with any sport, the physical changes and improvements will start to take shape after a few weeks of consistent training, but the mental benefits begin immediately. By the end of your first workout, chances are good you'll feel like a rock star! Reduced stress, glowing skin, and popping muscles are just the tip of the iceberg. Get ready to crush some serious goals, both inside and out of the studio, because that rock star feeling just gets stronger every time.
To achieve your best results, try to aim for 3-5 sessions per week, but also listen to your body when it needs to rest. After your first training session, your body may be sore and may need longer to recover, which is perfectly okay. To maximize muscle recovery and optimize your gains, try to take at least one rest day per week and supplement your training with plenty of stretches, water, sleep, and a balanced diet.
Muay Thai or Thai Boxing is a stand-up combat sport and is recognized as the national sport and cultural martial art of Thailand. It's on track to become an Olympic sport and has gained popularity all over the world. Sometimes referred to as The Art of Eight Limbs,' Muay Thai involves the entire body, identifying each strike (punch, kick, knee or elbow) as one 'weapon.' In addition to striking, it also utilizes sweeps and the clinch, a form of stand-up neck grappling.

I must say I have train at a few different martial art schools throughout my life. Magnan Martial arts is a very clean establishment with a very friendly staff which are patient enough for all experience levels. If you want to train like the pros or just want to learn some self defense, this is the place for you.

I've been going to Magnan martial arts since I was 15 and I'm 21 now, and through all my years that I have been here and other martial arts places I have to say this is the best location I'll ever know, The instructor Alfred Magnan (A.K.A Sifu) is always focused on technique, learning self defense the right way, always making sure we are doing it correctly, working with us directly and not just throwing us a bag, I've learned so much! Doing Muaythai Kick Boxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu through out my whole time here and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to be in this school learning what I learn and what I have learned and I would definitely 100% recommend this school of self defense to anyone looking to either start their journey or continue and want to see a real imrovement.

All around a great teacher!! Very technical, very attentive to proper form, and very motivational. I have studied martial arts and combat arts for over 29 years and Sifu Magnan is the best instructor I have met to date. If you want to learn Kenpo or Jiu-Jitsu, from an instructor that is humble and takes pride in his students, then this is the school for you. His curriculum is very detailed and his knowledge of the art is excellent.
